Responsibilities: We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. As a subject matter expert you will be a non-advocate domain specialist for programs during reviews and failure investigations. You will lead engine test operations across multiple test cells by scheduling resources and prioritizing work develop technical processes, standard methodologies and tool development around focused areas of engine testing assist programs with resource planning. You will build and develop the team, and help to establish the team's on-site presence. This position is responsible for the people, processes, and tools that power Blue Origin's vehicles on the road to space.Īs a Manager in a matrix organization, you will manage a small team of test engineers that will be responsible for testing our BE-7 Lunar Lander rocket engine at Edwards Airforce Base AFRL. Blue Engines is responsible for all of Blue Origin’s rocket engines that power our suborbital, orbital and planetary vehicles.
This position reports to the Director of Engines Test and Flight Engineering inside of the Blue Engines business unit. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight.
